Maloney’s could have strong drinks and delicious food, but all we can focus on in this Lodo establishment are the floors.  They’re carpeted.  Who puts carpeting in a bar?  Are the stools that high that they feel legally obligated to cushion the blow in case they serve someone one too many?  Does someone come around with a can of carpet cleaner at the end of the night or do they just steam clean the whole place?  We’re sure Maloney’s has a lot to offer – like pool tables, a good menu and crowds on the weekends – but we just can’t get the logistics of having a carpeted bar out of our heads.
