Mynt
Type: Lounge Club
Hours: Open daily from 4 p.m.-2 a.m.
Mynt represents the greatest of Cuban icons – no, not Che Guevara t-shirts – the mojito. In fact, the only fashion you’ll see in this lounge are the designs strutting down the runway on their big-screen TVs or the trendy outfits worn by the style-conscious clientele. Their $3 happy hour is one of Denver’s best and might explain why so many 20-somethings can afford $500 shoes. Che would be proud – isn’t Marxism about freedom for all to consume cheap cocktails while wearing expensive footwear? Viva la Revolucion!
User Reviews
I had been to this establishment several times and always thoroughly enjoyed myself, but I will never go again. I spent $35 and left a $10 tip for my waitress and when I checked my credit card statement a few days later I was charged $145. I called the manager of the bar thinking it was a typo or something, but instead he gave me several different excuses as why I was charged an extra $90 (one of them being that I approved the 260% tip. The service provided for my 3 drinks was so spectacular in needed to leave an extravagant tip…are f*ing kidding me?!). When I asked for a copy of my signed receipt it was obvious it had been forged and a 1 was added in front of the total. Needless to say I’ve disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a police report for credit card fraud.
The Mynt is a good place to go and hang out with friends. The bottle service area is a little small with not much space between each table. When the place is crowded you have people falling into your lap and people from the next table over crowding your space. Not much of a dance place, but good music and good atmosphere.
