Club 156
Type: Club
If there's one spot in Boulder to catch an up-and-coming band before it hits the mainstream, it's Club 156. Nestled squarely amid the lecture halls and dormitories of the University of Colorado, the 150-capacity venue serves as the quintessential college rock bar. Nirvana, Primus, Pearl Jam, the Foo Fighters and the Photo Atlas all figure among the notables that cut their teeth in this little club in the University Memorial Center. Admission normally runs from $5 to $15, and the bar fare is standard.
