Beer and music, for many people are a few of life’s greatest pleasures. If you are one of them, at Lion’s Lair, you’ll be in heaven. With live bands on weekends and open mike nights, the music is bumping at this lair seven nights a week. Playing styles from rock to hip-hop to jazz, the music heard here is bound to appeal to most, unless you are a pop princess worshipper.

went to that same show too, it was great I couldn't stop laughing. I was hurting at my side, that how bad I was laughing. They were great. I can't wait to see these people again next week, Monday's nights is where you need to be to shake off those weekend blues.

I had to go to this baby shower for my budding TJ and his girlfriend. They are having a baby and invited not only I but all this rest of their friends to this baby shower being held at the Lion's Lair. Their must of been like 50-75 people in that bar. We had a blast the drinks were good and so was the comedy show being held by this guy name Andy Kauffman. Andy was a terrific host, he really got the crowd laughing. Other comedians from the comedy works were also there performing as well including Dick Black. I didn't know this but the host said that some of these comics have open for big names like Dave Chapelle and Bob Saget. Let me tell you for a free show this entertainment was better than any paid show I've been to.

The King? Well, this watering hole was immortalized in song by none other than Slim Cessna himself. If that sentence makes no sense to you, you probably shouldn’t be drinking at “The Lair.” A nickname that suggests nefariousness, but actually is an homage to grand variety of creative types who frequent the joint from opening to twilight. Many a well-versed author and filmmaker have plunked down on a vinyl stool here and made magic. Well, scribbled down what they could because around 9pm it can get rowdy with live music acts from all over the front range and beyond, mostly alt country and rock.
