Arvada Tavern

Large-2 from 4 ratings

Type: Neighborhood Bar

Price: $ (Under $9)

Hours: Open at 11 a.m. everyday

Housed in a historic Arvada building, the Arvada Tavern is a simple neighborhood bar. Originally a blacksmith shop, the building was turned into the Dutch Inn in 1933 and was handed the town’s first beer license. Today, the Arvada Tavern is a comfortable place to enjoy a cheap pint and good old-fashioned bar food. Regulars favor the burgers and sausage sandwiches and rave about the chili. Daily Happy Hour specials bring in a regular after-work crowd and locals gather late into the night.

No longer the forgotten hole-in-the-wall, the New Arvada Tavern is better than new. Never mind the new paint, tables, chairs, genre and menu. It's all about the staff. Take a forgotten about, run down and mismanaged treasure like the Arvada Tavern, add a chef who thinks mac-n-cheese is an art form, and a staff of young, talented and energetic servers and you can't help but have Arvada’s hottest new old bar. Featuring daily food and drink special Stop in for Bloody Maries and free pool all day Sunday.

This used to be my favorite bar in Arvada until it went under new management. This bar is a true, honest, real-life Tavern. Its been a tavern since taverns were the only place to get a drink. This place definatly has some history and a life of its own. Its just too bad the new owners do not appreciate this. I fear the Tavern's days are almost over due to violations. :(
