Lance Armstrong is jealous of Denver because we have the coolest cycling restaurant ever (OK we haven’t actually talked to the “Lance-ster” personally, but whatever). The Downing St. Bar and Grille (formerly the Handlebar and Grill) is what living in Colorado is all about when you have pimped-out bicycles hanging from walls along with signed jerseys from superstar athlete cyclists. The salads are huge, their burgers are memorable and their ruebens…well dangit, they are some grubtastic ruebens. Long story short, the wait staff is commendable and you can get lost while looking at all the interior cycling memorabilia....okay take a big breathe:
Even if you’re not a Tour-De-France-spandex-wearing-cyclist-whose-bike-costs-more-than-your-car, you’ll love this place.
