Large-5 from 4 ratings

Type: Neighborhood Bar

Hours: Open daily from 11 a.m.-1:30 a.m.

Formerly the oldest licensed liquor establishment in the state, the Goosetown rose from the ashes of its predecessor thanks to the microbrewing entrepreneur, John Hickenlooper. With two daily Happy Hours plus daily drink specials, you will never run out of things to quench your thirst. There is always something new to try as the Goosetown always keeps 16 microbrews on tap and a full bar. The menu focuses itself around the finger licking specialties of pizza, calzones and sandwiches. Two pool tables are sure to keep the billiards enthusiasts happy. Go Goosey!

I think I had been to this place 100 times before I ever tried their food. Don’t know what I was waiting for, the pizza and sandwiches are as top notch as the wait staff, who know how to hustle even when the place is packed wall to wall. The chunky pews converted to booths are more comfortable than they look and allow a bit of privacy in an otherwise wide-open high ceiling space that can really ring when it’s packed. Sports friendly, but not a sports bar, Goosetown is everything a neighborhood bar should be, bright, friendly and a little trendy, and they never forget a good tipper.
