MVP's Sports Bar & Grill

Large-1 from 4 ratings

Type: Neighborhood Bar

Price: $ (Under $9)

MVP’s Sports Bar & Grill is family-owned and operated, and bills itself as the, "Home of the $5 pitcher." This is a classic neighborhood joint; you practically expect to walk in and find Norm sitting at the end of the bar. The food is a mix of American and Mexican entrees, and the entertainment includes pool, billiards, darts, poker and trivia. (Which reminds me: Would someone care to explain the difference between billiards and pool? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?)

Heard it was a decent bar if you fcould get past the nasty disgusting bathroom. Thought what the heck. Went in on a Wednesday night and sat at a table. there were a few people there - darts and poker going on - but no server came to my table, After a few minutes weht to the bar. Stood there for some time... Must be self-service as there was no one there to take an order or serve a drink. All total, spent about 20 minutes in the bar but left - figured might as well try the famous door too. (Did get server there immediately.) When I left mvps, there wer a couple of womem outside the bar smoking and one asked if I needed anything then said have a nice night, Gee - friendly. Did not find out how bad the bathroom is. If my friend reccommends another place as bad as this I guess I will have to find a new friend.

if your looking to get fast service at MVP's move to another bar. It took me 45 minutes one night and it was not busy. The staff was too busy drinking and flirting with male customers. Then go to the bathroom....do ya think they clean them...NOT.
