Someone alert the Department of Health. The Internet told us that ingesting gold can be toxic in large quantities. And here is Golden Wok coating their cooking utensils in the stuff. My God haven't these people seen "Blood Diamond"? Such a waste of natural resources. Ohhh, we get it. They don't actually use gold on their woks. It's just a name meant to imply a high caliber of food - much like Yum Yum's or Casa Bonita. Golden Wok really does have good food, along with two things Chinese restaurants don't usually have - a broad wine list and atmosphere.
User Reviews
I recently stumbled across the Golden Wok while in the S.E. part of the metro area and was pleasantly surprised. It is located on the SW corner of S. Chambers Road and East Hampden Ave, in Aurora. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing. The portions were good and the prices more than reasonable for the quality of food. I only wish I lived closer to the Golden Wok. It's a great place to bring your special someone.
It's with reservation that I write this review, knowing full well it may result in my having to wait for a table at the Golden Wok. The Golden Wok is one the Denver metro area's best kept secrets. The owners Ken & Eva have created a wonderful place to enjoy remarkable food at a reasonable price. Located on the southwest corner of East Hampden Ave. & South Chambers Street, in Aurora. You'll find dishes like General Tao's, Sesame Chicken, plus several unique dishes like Walnut Prawns & the Sizzling Steak platter.
