If there could only be one place in Denver to experience the finest in the Moroccan lifestyle, then Palais Casablanca definitely takes the dates. The native Morocco owner and head chef does his best to transplant the finest from Morocco into the heart of Denver. Everything from the decor to the menu makes you wonder if anything this enjoyable is legal without a passport. Reservations are strongly recommended as the dining room is only open during certain hours in order to better serve the customers fortunate enough to secure a table.
User Reviews
We received a gift card and were excited to experience the Moroccan cuisine. The menu is 4 course only and the prices are minimum 40pp. Also, they do not serve alcohol just soda and mint tea. The advertisement for belly dancers is false. There is NO entertainment and we were there on a Friday night. well after eating and feeling the food was not worth the price the owner told us we could only use 50.00 of the 100.00 gift card (the card says nothing about this) he replied "that way you come back again." Well frustrated we pain only to find a few days later the the owner had charged an additional 16 to our credit card after we had left a nice cash tip. I would not recommend this place to anyone, the food is average at best and after reviewing other reviews it appears this wasn't the first time the owner charged extra money to a credit card. If you must go here pay in cash but I would not recommend it.
WE RECEIVED A GIFT CARD FOR 100.00, THE RESTAURANT IS OVERPRICED AND THE FOOD ISN'T THAT GREAT FOR THE MONEY. YOU MUST ORDER A 4 COURSE MEAL FOR MINIMUM OF 40.00 PP. WE WENT TO PAY AND THE OWNER TOLD US WE COULD ONLY USE 50 OF THE 100 GIFT CARD, EVEN THOUGH THE GIFT CARD SAYS NOTHING OF THIS SORT. A LITTLE FRUSTRATED WE PAID AND LEFT A CASH TIP THEN FOUND OUT A FEW DAYS LATER THE OWNER HAD CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 16.00 TO THE CARD. OTHER REVIEWS REPORT HE HAS DONE THIS IN THE PAST. THE RESTAURANT HAD ONLY 2 OTHER COUPLES THERE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. OH THE ENTERTAINMENT, THERE WAS NONE. THEY ADVERTISE BELLY DANCERS, BUT THERE WAS NO ENTERTAINMENT ON FRIDAY NIGHT. ALSO THEY DO NOT SERVE ALCOHOL, YOUR CHOICES OF DRINK ARE SODA AND MINT TEA. OVERALL WE FELT SCAMMED BY THE OWNER AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE!!!
